Where To Find Us

Longshore is just moments walk away from the picturesque harbourside centre of Fowey, in South East Cornwall. It's an easy 4-5 hour drive from virtually anywhere in England. Longshore is a detached and recently renovated house in a quiet road just up from Fowey centre & harbour itself, it's a no through road, so no noisy passing traffic, safe for the kids and the dogs. Longshore has driveway parking for 3 cars, a premium in Fowey and once there you don't have to use the car, as everything you need is walking distance (or cycling if you take your bike).  There's a park  just 5/6 minutes walk from the house, and a superb general store and post office on the same road, where they have daily deliveries of fresh local produce including freshly baked local pasties, local delicatessan from award winning Fowey Butchers Kittows and fresh bread, pastries and cakes daily from the wonderful Niles Bakery.  You're spoiled for choice, as a short walk into town and there are at least 3 superb bakeries, including Niles and the Cornish Bakery, which also has a superb cafe.

It's just a 15/20 minute walk to Readymoney Cove, a small and sandy beach, safe for the whole family and no watersports allowed. On the beach is a fabulous Cafe and Gift Shop which is open all year except Christmas Day!

Fowey really is a year round resort, with a temperate climate and shops, restaurants and cafes open all year. Christmas in Fowey (see dedicated page) is very special, with it's Christmas markets (known to be one of the best in Cornwall), festive lights and wonderful atmosphere.

In summer, it is busy, and that's when you'll really appreciate the peace and quiet of Longshore, away from the hustle and bustle of Fowey Harbourside, yet only minutes walk away from the life and soul of the party that is Fowey!  There's something for everyone here!

Where we are...

Longshore is located in a quiet no-through road, away from the hustle and bustle of Fowey town centre itself, yet only 6 or 7 minutes walk down to town.  The walk there and back takes in beautiful historical buildings, cobbled streets.  It takes a bit longer to walk back up (about 15 minutes for me but then I'm slow!) but the exercise is good after sampling some of the fabulous food on offer here! And if you don't want to walk back up, take the town Mini-bus, which is a non-stop service going around and back every 10/15 mins, all day every day, it's around £2 and the driver will drop you off anywhere you like and will pick you up anywhere on route too.
